About Iféwa Ikija
We Are From Ikija
Iféwa a premium, community-rooted food brand dedicated to restoring the purity, dignity, and true nourishment of traditional cassava foods. Our flagship product — Iféwa Pure Ijebu Garri — is produced in Ikija, Ijebu land, Ogun State, Nigeria, using time-honoured methods refined for modern quality and safety standards.
We exist to deliver clean, trusted cassava nourishment to homes across Nigeria and the global African diaspora.
Our Roots
Ikija is not just where we produce — it is who we are.
For generations, cassava farming, processing, and roasting have been at the heart of life in our community. Women have traditionally led every stage — the peeling, fermentation, drying, sifting, and fire-roasting that define true Ijebu garri. This knowledge was never written down. It was handed down, batch by batch, generation by generation.
Iféwa was founded to make sure that knowledge is never lost.
Every batch of Iféwa Garri supports local farmers, skilled women processors, intergenerational food knowledge, and sustainable rural production in Ikija.
The Founder
Iféwa was founded by Adebisi Odeyingbo, a son of Ikija from Ilenla quarters.
Adebisi's roots in Ikija run deep — through his parents and grandparents, he inherited a direct connection to the land, the people, and the food traditions that have defined the community for generations. Watching authentic Ijebu garri risk being displaced by mass production and shortcuts, he made a decision: to build a business that preserves the food knowledge passed down by his ancestors.
"This is not just a product. It is the food knowledge of our ancestors, delivered with integrity." — Adebisi Odeyingbo, Founder
How We Produce
From soil to sieve, quality controls every step.
It starts on our own cassava farms in Ikija. Growing our own cassava means we control the soil, the harvest timing, and the freshness of every batch from the very beginning. From there, the cassava is naturally fermented for authentic flavour and digestibility, fire-roasted over open flame the traditional way, then hand-sifted and inspected to be completely stone-free. No additives, no fillers, no bleaching — ever.
What you receive is pure, clean garri — grown, processed, and packed in Ikija. Just as it was meant to be.
Why Iféwa Is Different
Unlike mass-produced garri, Iféwa is produced in small, quality-controlled batches — never chemically treated, never bulk-blended, and directly traced to its place of origin in Ikija.
From farm to bag, every step happens in Ikija under our direct supervision — giving you complete traceability and freshness no middleman supply chain can match.
This gives our customers better taste, cleaner digestion, consistent grain quality, and complete peace of mind.
Nourishment Without Compromise
Iféwà Garri is a traditional staple food, naturally gluten-free, vegan, and free from preservatives and artificial processing aids. It is widely enjoyed across West Africa for its light digestibility and reliable energy.
This product is a traditional food and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
